Today, the Director and Writer of My Brother’s Shoes – Adam Reeves – and the Composer – Jordain Wallace – will be meeting to begin the process of creating the music and mood for the film. They will be working side by side today as the film is gone over scene by scene deciding what and where music should be inserted. They will be going over styles and themes appropriate for each character and scene.
It is thrilling to watch the discussion evolve as styles and tastes in music are compared and considered. Just like the film itself was only a germ of an idea and now there are full characters and situations developing into a story – so it is just as titillating to listen to music being composed and calling them “Dallas’s Theme” or “Austin’s Theme” or “Jackie’s Theme”.
The creativity pours out as the themes intertwine and play off of each other in a beautiful composition worthy of a future sound track to the film!
